In tender remembrance, we honor the life and legacy of Alisha Lynn Elder, whose gentle spirit departed from this world on June 3, 2026. Born on January 26, 1979, in Van Wert, Ohio, Alisha brought warmth and love into the lives of all she touched. Her journey, though marked with challenges, was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family and the depths of her kindness. Alisha was a beloved daughter of Tim Sterrett from Rockford, Ohio, and Shelley James, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, who preceded her in death. Her mother’s passing left a profound mark on her heart, yet Alisha found solace and strength in the bonds she shared with her surviving family: her cherished daughter, Isabella Grace, and her dear siblings, Kyle Sterrett, Ashley Bailey, and Brandy Reir. Though she departed without grandchildren, her legacy of love endures through Isabella, whom she adored beyond measure. A proud graduate of Van Wert High School, Alisha furthered her education at the University of Phoenix campus in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite her academic pursuits, her greatest fulfillment came in her role as a devoted stay-at-home mother. Alisha’s love for Isabella was the heartbeat of her existence, a love that was fierce and unwavering, much like her character. Alisha was known and cherished for her kindness and the intensity with which she loved. Her compassionate nature drew others to her, and she left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, a testament to her nurturing spirit, and her life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, laughter, and enduring friendships. The family will honor Alisha’s memory in a private ceremony, respecting the intimate bonds she so deeply valued. In this time of mourning, they extend heartfelt gratitude to Riverside Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Alisha’s final days, a kindness that brought comfort amidst heartache. As we say goodbye to Alisha, let us remember her not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life lived with profound love and generosity. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, a gentle reminder of the power of love and the legacy of a life lived with openness and grace. May Alisha Lynn Elder rest in eternal peace, her heart now unburdened and free, eternally remembered and cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
