Alisa V. Simmons

Alisa Johnson Simmons, affectionately known as "Naunie" to her beloved grandchildren, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on July 29, 1959, Alisa was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a treasured friend to many. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Alisa was the daughter of the late Dale B. Johnson and Lillian Joyce Johnson. Her parents, along with Uncle Bill Johnson and Aunt Marian Johnson, predeceased her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and love that Alisa carried forward in her own life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Mark Simmons, and her children, Richard Hammers, Matthew Hammers, Justin Hammers, Troy Simmons, and Kirk Simmons. She was also a beloved sister to Andra Johnson and a proud grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored immensely. A woman of many talents and passions, Alisa found joy in baking, sewing, and crocheting. Her handmade blankets and other creations were a testament to her love and dedication, crafted with care for her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her baked goods, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Alisa's life was enriched by her many close friendships. She had a unique ability to connect with people, whether they were met online or through her various jobs. Her family fondly remembers her as someone with a big heart who made friends near and far. Alisa's kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand, especially to her "grands," whom she loved dearly. Alisa will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Services for Alisa will be held at a later date.
