In Loving Memory

Alicia Hope Giles
May 18, 1985 — October 3, 2026
Alicia, born on May 18, 1985, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, departed this world at home in her sleep on October 3, 2026, after a brief illness. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alicia was the cherished daughter of Sarah Bowers and the late Brett Pickerel. She was the beloved sister to Jesse Pickerel and Cassie Pickerel, and a devoted granddaughter to Bonnie Wilson and Keith Banks. She is fondly remembered by her extended family, including numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her father, Brett Pickerel, grandmother Earlene Pickerel, and great grandmothers Margaret Moss and Wilma Banks, predeceased her and are surely welcoming her with open arms.
Alicia's heart was as vast as the Wyoming sky, and her spirit was a beacon of love and kindness. She dedicated her life to caring for those in need, whether they were friends, neighbors, or strangers. Her compassion extended beyond people to include all creatures, especially her beloved kitties. She was always a sanctuary of warmth and generosity, a reflection of her deep faith and the teachings of Christ she held dear.
Her life will be celebrated on October 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the River of Life Fellowship, located at 119 S 6th St, Thermopolis, Wyoming. Family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful legacy Alicia leaves behind.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Alicia's true friends in Thermopolis and beyond, who stood by her side through the highs and lows of life. Your love and support meant the world to her, and we know you will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to any reputable animal rescue organization, in keeping with Alicia's lifelong passion for animal welfare.

Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
