In loving memory of Alice "Redd" Snell, who graced this world with her presence on October 21, 1966, and departed for her heavenly home on May 7, 2026. Alice was a beacon of love, laughter, and light to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Born to JoAnn and Johnny L. Snell, Sr., she carried forward the legacy of kindness and compassion that her parents instilled in her.
Alice, affectionately known as "Redd" to family and friends, was a woman of remarkable spirit and resilience. Her life was a testament to her unwavering strength and grace, even through life's most challenging moments. She was employed for many years at Elchem, where her dedication and work ethic were deeply appreciated. Despite the challenges posed by impaired vision later in her career, Alice remained a pillar of strength, always facing life's hurdles with a smile that could light up any room.
Alice's life was enriched by the love and companionship of her beloved partner, Cynthia Robinson. Together, they shared 28 wonderful years in Seagoville, Texas, creating a life filled with joy and laughter. Alice and Cynthia's love was a true testament to the power of companionship and partnership.
Family was the cornerstone of Alice's life. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Bria Robinson, and a loving grandmother to Bryson Robinson and great-grandmother to Chance Robinson. Her legacy of love extends to her surviving siblings, Johnny L. Snell, Jr. (Phoebe), Kelvin Moody, Dee Snell (Natasha), Rosemary Snell (Everett), Joyce Stuart (Joe), Yulanda Moody, and Michelle Moody. Alice's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Alice's generosity of spirit extended beyond her family. She was a treasured friend to many, always ready with a kind word or a warm hug. Her friends, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and her devoted aunt, Faye Davis, all held a special place in her heart. She never met a stranger, and her contagious smile and loving spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Preceded in death by her parents, JoAnn and Johnny L. Snell, Sr.; six siblings, Johnny E. McDaniel ("Chook"), Larseil Clifton, Jasper Clifton ("Roylee"), Benard Snell ("Nana"), Connie B. Clifton ("Cheetah"), and Wanda Turner-Clifton; and her niece, Alice Marie Jones, she joins them now in eternal peace.
Alice was a long-time First Family Member, a community that she loved dearly and who cherished her in return. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
