Born on September 19, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alice was a beacon of strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. Alice was the cherished daughter of Robert and Gracie Jones. Throughout her life, she carried the love and lessons imparted by family and friends She was proceeded by her father Robert Lee Jones, her husband, Anthony Earl Graves, son Christopher Jones, Brother Sonny Jones, and sisters Barbara and Mackie Jones. Her legacy continues to thrive through the lives of her beloved mother, Gracie Lee Jones, her son Arthur Jones, daughter Tanicka Phillips, stepdaughter Keta Freeman, brothers Robert and Willie Williams, sisters Mary Jones, Koaita and Tekema Williams. Her presence will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Micheal, Christopher, Arthur Webb, Devonte White, Serenity Hurn, (Ketas daughter) her great-grandchild, and her beloved Kat will forever miss her love and care. Professionally, Alice dedicated her life to two great passions: animals and nature. Her career began at Keystone Pet Hospital, where she worked for twelve years, sharing her love and compassion with every creature she encountered. She later went on to cultivate beauty and life in her role maintaining the Garden section at Walmart, a place she lovingly tended for seven years before her retirement. A lover of life’s simple joys, Alice found pleasure in shopping, especially thrifting, and collecting recipes. She had vast knowledge of plants and flowers, and she loved how she play I in the earth as well as sharing her knowledge. But her guiltiest pleasure was listening to audiobooks or music. Those who knew Alice will remember her as a strong, independent woman with an unwavering honesty and conviction. Her outspoken nature and stern strength were balanced by her loving, generous, and kind spirit. She was protective of those she held dear, and her unmistakable presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell, we celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives and take comfort in knowing she will forever remain in our hearts. May God bless you abundantly and always protect you.
