It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Alice Jones-Graves, who peacefully departed this world on April 10, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on September 19, 1956, in the charming town of Ruralville, Mississippi, Alice was a beacon of warmth and wisdom to all who knew her. Alice was the cherished daughter of Robert and Gracie Jones. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Graves, her father, Robert Jones, and her beloved son, Christopher Jones. Despite these deep losses, Alice remained a pillar of strength and resilience, embodying the grace and fortitude instilled in her by her parents. She leaves behind a legacy etched in the hearts of her devoted family: her loving mother, Gracie Jones; her son, Arthur Jones; her daughter, Tanicka Phillips; five adoring grandchildren; and one great-grandchild who will grow up hearing stories of her unparalleled spirit. Alice was known for her distinctive way of expressing love, often through her playful fussing and good-natured banter. Her sharp wit and loving critiques were her unique ways of showing care and ensuring that those she cared for strived to live up to their fullest potential. Her home was a haven of laughter and lively conversation, where family and friends gathered to share in her warmth and culinary delights. Her influence extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many in her community. Alice's life was a testament to the power of love, humor, and perseverance. She taught us all that life's challenges could be met with a smile and a little bit of sass, making even the most mundane moments memorable. To honor Alice's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing her family the space to cherish her memory in an intimate setting. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the legacy of love and laughter she leaves behind, a testament to a life that was both full and beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Alice's name, spreading her spirit of generosity and love to those who need it most. As we say goodbye to Alice, we remember her not just as a mother, a daughter, or a grandmother, but as a woman who lived life on her own terms—with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and fondly remembered.
