May 14, 1972 — May 24, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Alfredo Demon Gatherite, who left this world on May 24, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on May 14, 1972, in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada, Alfredo was a beacon of warmth and creativity who touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know him. Alfredo was the cherished son of Katherine Gatherite Watkins, who survives him, along with his beloved brother Darrin and sister-in-law Jamie, his sister and best friend Toni and brother-in-law Prince, as well as a very special Aunt and Uncle, Vicki and Johnny. Alfredo's nephews held a special place in his heart, and they, along with a host of extended family and dear friends, mourn his passing while celebrating the light he brought into their lives. A proud graduate of Western High School in 1990, Alfredo's journey through life was rich with varied and rewarding experiences. He began his career at BOMBAY Furniture Company in Las Vegas, where he first honed his eye for beauty and design. Alongside this, he worked tirelessly at night with persons with cognitive disabilities, demonstrating his boundless compassion and dedication to helping others. Alfredo's hands were gifted with the ability to transform and uplift, a talent he shared as a licensed hair stylist in Las Vegas, Nashville, and Atlanta. Known for his "growing hands," he took immense joy in seeing his clients leave his chair feeling renewed and beautiful. His career path also led him to Pier 1 Imports, where he excelled as a supervisor, managing two stores in Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA, with grace and efficiency. For five years, Alfredo served as a ramp agent for Southwest Airlines, first in Nashville and later in Kansas City, where he could be closer to his brother Darrin and sister-in-love Jamie. His journey eventually brought him to Tallulah, LA, where he worked for Tyson Chicken, all the while staying close to the family he held so dear. Outside of his professional endeavors, Alfredo's passions included decorating and transforming spaces into places of beauty and comfort, a hobby that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He was a true connoisseur of style, always dressing to impress and leaving a lasting impression wherever he went. Alfredo's personal qualities were as remarkable as his talents. He had an unparalleled gift for making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and special. His kindness and generosity were boundless, and his unmatched soul left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Truly a jack of all trades, Alfredo's spirit and warmth were one of a kind. We will gather to celebrate Alfredo's extraordinary life on June 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 305 5th St., Tallulah, LA 71282. As we remember the love and joy he brought into our lives, let us honor his memory by carrying forward his legacy of kindness, creativity, and love. May Alfredo's soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
