Alfred Swanson

Alfred Swanson, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away on September 25, 2026, at his home, Windsor Manor, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 17, 1947, in Cincinnati, Alfred lived a life full of warmth, generosity, and kindness. Alfred was the cherished son of the late Mabel Leach Lewis and George Swanson. He was preceded in death by his dear sister, Gloria Starling, whose memory he held close to his heart throughout his life. Alfred's legacy of love and laughter will be carried on by his devoted brother, Robert Swanson, and sister-in-law, Connie, of Clay Hill. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces, Jennifer Barrs (David) and Cheri Chesser (Randy), both of Starke, who will forever treasure the moments spent with their Uncle Al. His influence and kindness extended to numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, and extended family members who cherished his presence in their lives. Alfred's life was marked by his dedication to family and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his infectious smile, his witty sense of humor, and his unwavering support for those he loved. Alfred had a passion for storytelling, often captivating his family with tales of his adventures and experiences, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories that will be cherished for generations. In addition to his devotion to family, Alfred's compassionate nature led him to quietly support various charitable causes throughout his life. In keeping with his generous spirit, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Alfred's memory.
