He was 60 years old. Alfred's final moments were graced with the loving presence of his dear friend Kelly Lyons, who stood steadfast by his side.
Alfred was born on May 23, 1965, in the vibrant city of Syracuse, NY, to the late John and Gladys Thomas. His years of service further honed the qualities that would define his life: discipline, courage, and a deep sense of duty. Upon completing his military service, Alfred pursued higher education, ultimately attending law school and earning accolades from both law and athletic associations.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alfred found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, and cherished the time spent with his children and his dear mother. His family was his pride and joy, and his legacy lives on through his children: Alfred Jerome Thomas Jr. (Shaneika Thomas), Zachary Thomas, and Olivia Thomas (Rachel). He leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. Though Alfred did not have great-grandchildren, his influence will undoubtedly be felt for generations to come.

He is survived by his siblings, John Thomas Jr. and Gwendolyn Thomas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. His bond with his childhood friend, Steven Coker, was a testament to the enduring power of friendship.
