It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alfred "Fred" Headspeth, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Born on November 22, 1937, in the charming state of Arkansas, Fred was the cherished son of Albert and Mae Ola Headspeth. He peacefully departed from this world on July 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Fred was a man of warmth and wit, known for his quick humor and the warmth of his smile. His presence was a beacon of joy, and those fortunate enough to be around him were often treated to delightful tales and hearty laughter. He received his education in Arkansas, a place he held dear throughout his life.
Fred spent many years dedicating his talents to Bettermaid Foods, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His work ethic was commendable, but it was his personal passions that truly defined him. Fred had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit, which he often expressed through his love of betting at the horse races. He was ever-hopeful, with dreams of one day hitting it big—a testament to his optimistic nature.
Fred found love and companionship in his marriage to Rosemarie Edmond, a union that blessed them with two wonderful children, Anthony Headspeth and Sonja Headspeth Jackson. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. As a proud grandfather, Fred's heart expanded with love for his eight grandchildren, Kinney Pfeiffer ,Jalen Headspeth ,Melia Headspeth, Kathryn And Kobe Headspeth DaSean Mitchell , Paige and Phillip Jackson , two great grandchildren Dwayne Mitchell and Moses Smith each of whom brought him immense happiness.
In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his brother, yet his spirit lives on through his surviving family members, who will continue to honor his memory and celebrate his life.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Fred's memory, in accordance with his family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association in Saint Clair Shores, MI, in memory of Alfred Headspeth.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered kind words and well wishes during this difficult time. Your support and love are deeply appreciated.
Though Fred's earthly journey has ended, his legacy of laughter, love, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
