March 12, 1964 — October 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander San Miguel, who left this world on October 4, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on March 12, 1964, in the serene town of Alma, Michigan, Alex was a beacon of laughter and resilience, whose quick wit and humor touched many lives.
Alex was a proud graduate of Alma High School, where he began to develop the skills and values that would guide him through a life filled with diverse experiences and deep connections. His commitment to service was evident early on, as he dedicated a portion of his life to the National Guard, serving his country with honor and dedication.
Throughout his career, Alex wore many hats, most notably as a nurse and a mechanic. His compassionate nature made him a beloved figure in the healthcare community, where he provided care and comfort to countless individuals. As a mechanic, Alex's hands were as skilled as his heart was kind, always ready to lend a hand and solve a problem.
Alex found solace in the great outdoors, where he spent many joyful hours hunting and fishing. These hobbies brought him closer to nature and allowed him to share cherished moments with friends and family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
A devoted father and grandfather, Alex leaves behind his beloved children, Dusty, Sarah, and Zach. His legacy lives on in his ten grandchildren: Devin, Clara, Sofie, Gabriella, Charlee, Isabella, Julianna, Rosy, Mabel, and one other who will grow up hearing stories of their grandfather's humor and kindness.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. Despite the challenges he faced, including a courageous battle with mental illness, Alex's spirit remained unbroken, and his laughter continued to echo through the lives of those he loved.
In keeping with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Alex's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that held a special place in his heart. Contributions can be directed to their office in Jacksonville, Florida.
Alexander San Miguel's life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit. He will be remembered for his humor, his service, and the love he shared so freely. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
