It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Kristopher Keen, who departed this world on May 9, 2026, at the age of 34. Alex, as he was fondly known, was born on May 24, 1991, in Bellevue, Washington, to his loving parents, Shelly and Kris Keen. He was a beacon of light and adventure, whose spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Alex was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shelly Keen, whose nurturing spirit and unwavering support shaped the incredible man he became. His father, Kris Keen, survives him, carrying forward the legacy of love and adventure that defined their family. Alex's educational journey led him to Northwest Christian College, from which he graduated, although the exact year remains uncertain. His thirst for knowledge and adventure was evident early in life, culminating in the achievement of his pilot's license—a testament to his unyielding pursuit of the skies. His career was as varied and vibrant as his personality. Alex was known as a pilot his breathtaking skydives and his passion for painting, a combination that illustrated his love for both the adrenaline of freefall and the tranquility of creation. As a pilot instructor at Harvey Airfield, Alex shared his love of flying with countless students, inspiring them with his skill, patience, and infectious enthusiasm. A devoted member of Stillwater Church, Alex lived a life of service and faith. As a youth group leader, he guided and mentored young minds, instilling in them the values of compassion, integrity, and courage. His commitment to his faith was visible in every aspect of his life, and he found great joy and purpose within his church community. Alex's love for the great outdoors was unparalleled. He was an avid hiker, mountaineer, and ice climber, always seeking the next summit to conquer. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world through travel, skydiving, snowboarding, and bungee jumping, leaving a trail of inspiration and awe in his wake. To honor Alex's extraordinary life, a service will be held on June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hangar 15, Harvey Airfield. It is a fitting tribute to celebrate the life of a man who spent so much of it soaring through the skies. Alex's legacy is one of passion, adventure, and an unyielding love for life. He lived fully and fearlessly, a true testament to living life on one's own terms. Though he has left us far too soon, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace, his spirit soaring freely in the heavens above.
