Alexander James Hill
February 19, 1994 - May 15, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander James Hill on May 15, 2026, at the age of 32. Born in Wichita, Kansas, Alex was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend. His vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Alex was the beloved son of Jerry L. Hill, Jr. and Shelley Lorraine Hill (Hurd). He was a devoted brother to Jacqueline Garrison and a proud uncle to his two nieces. Alex's life was enriched by his six wonderful children with ex-wife Carolyn Wilson: Bella Burwick (12), Jamison (10), Joanna (9), Amelia (8), Vada (6), and Joseph (5). Though his marriage with Carolyn ended in 2023, their shared journey brought six beautiful lives into the world, a testament to the love they once shared.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jerry L. Hill, Sr., and Ethel Joan Hill, whose memories he cherished deeply.
Alex's educational journey took him from Issaquah High School in Washington, where he graduated in 2012, to becoming a Registered Medical Assistant. His quest for knowledge and skill didn't stop there; he later became a proficient sheet metal technician. His career path was as diverse as it was fulfilling. From a young age, Alex worked various security positions, including serving as a prison guard at ElDorado Prison in Kansas. His passion for music was evident in the joy he found as a disc jockey, bringing life to every event he played. Most recently, Alex found contentment and camaraderie in his work as a tree trimmer with Asplundh, where he spoke with enthusiasm and pride about his contributions.
Known for his sharp wit, infectious smile, and endless supply of jokes and memes, Alex was a beacon of light in the lives of many. He had an innate ability to bring laughter and joy to any room he entered. He was a man with a kind heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children, nurturing their growth and happiness.
A service to honor Alex's life will be held on June 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Affordable Cremations, 10900 N Eastern Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. It is here that family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Integris Baptist Hospital, particularly the Burn Center ICU, for the compassion and care they provided to Alex during his final days.
In remembering Alex, we hold on to the joy he brought into our lives and the legacy of love he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, forever cherished in our hearts.
