It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Alexander Eugene Lamont Jones, who departed this life on May 4, 2026, at the age of 32. Born on January 23, 1994, in Mobile, Alabama, Alexander was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend.
Alexander was the beloved son of Herbert Jones and the late Cecelia Blackmon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecelia, his grandmothers, Hattie Blackmon and Elanie Davis, his grandfather, George Blackmon, and his sisters, Jasmine Haynes and Felicia Johnson. He is survived by his devoted children, Nylah, Aaliyah, and Alori Jones, who were the light of his life and the inspiration for his joyful spirit.
Alexander also leaves behind a loving family, including his sisters Toccara Blackmon, Crystal Williams, Rachel Smith, and Stacey Lucy; his brothers Herbert Haynes, Jermius Scott, Jerell Smith, James, Michael, and David Jones; and his grandfather, Herbert Williams. He will be deeply missed by his cherished friends, Jaylen Garrett, Ariel Davis, Damian Harper, and John Caminas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.
A graduate of Ben C. Rain High School, Alexander pursued higher education at Alabama A&M University. His career spanned nine years at the Coca Cola Company, where he was known for his dedication and exceptional work ethic. Outside of his professional life, Alexander was an active member of Grace Temple Holiness Church, where he found spiritual nourishment and community.
Alexander's life was rich with music, laughter, and shared moments. He was known for his love of music, his skill at the grill, and his unwavering commitment to making unforgettable memories with his children. His infectious smile and laughter could brighten any room, and his calm, quiet demeanor made him a comforting presence for those who knew him.
A service to celebrate Alexander's life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1320 St. Stephens Rd. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in honoring his memory and sharing stories of the joy he brought into our lives.
The Jones family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Every call and message of encouragement has been a balm to our hearts and a testament to the impact Alexander had on those around him.
