In Loving Memory

Alex Weigold
April 25, 1996 — March 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alex Weigold, a beloved son, friend, and community member, who left this world far too soon on March 4, 2026, at the tender age of 29. Born on April 25, 1996, in Buffalo, New York, Alex brought light and joy into the lives of all who knew him.
Alex was a cherished son to his father, Tommy, who survives him, and is predeceased by his grandfather, Tom Weigold. He was also preceded in death by a group fondly remembered as "the freak ass white boys," who were an integral part of his extended family. Alex’s life was one filled with laughter, love, and a commitment to those he held dear.
A proud graduate of Cheektowaga Central High School, Class of 2014, Alex was well-regarded by his classmates and teachers alike. He had a natural affinity for sports, with a particular passion for golf. He could often be found on the fairways, where he combined his love for the game with a zest for life that was infectious to those around him. His enthusiasm for both the game and its social aspects made him a beloved figure at local courses.
Alex was known for his charming personality and playful spirit. His friends often noted his endearing qualities, including a sense of humor and a kind-hearted nature that made everyone feel at ease. He had a unique ability to bring people together, creating a sense of community wherever he went.
A service to celebrate Alex's life will be held on March 6, 2026, at 4:00 PM at St. Phillip’s, located at 867 Losson Rd. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Alex, to share stories, and to honor the legacy of a young man who touched so many lives in his short time with us.
Though his passing was sudden and tragic, we choose to remember Alex for the joy he brought into our lives and the memories that will forever warm our hearts. His spirit, full of vitality and love, will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Alex’s name, as a way to continue his legacy of kindness and generosity.
May Alex rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished by those who loved him.
