Alex Smith, born on February 5, 2006, in the vibrant city of Kingston, Jamaica, embraced life with a spirit that touched everyone around him. On August 12, 2026, Alex left this world, but his legacy of warmth and vibrance will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to have known him. Alex was the beloved son of Neekia Levy and Nick, and he grew up alongside his siblings Kira, Meggie, and Khaleeka Henriques. From a young age, Alex's affectionate and playful nature was apparent, and he carried these qualities with him throughout his life. Whether it was his infectious laughter or his thoughtful gestures, Alex had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of those around him. His educational journey began at DuPont Primary School and continued at Penwood High School, where he not only excelled academically but also developed a passion for track and field and football. These activities became more than hobbies for Alex; they were outlets where his loyalty and dedication shone brightly. On the field, he was known for his spirited participation and sportsmanship, embodying the essence of teamwork and perseverance. Alex's sudden departure leaves a void in the lives of his family, including his cherished children, Najay and a precious baby girl on the way. He was predeceased by Dwayne Williams, whose memory he held dear. Alex's family finds solace in the memories of his unique personality—his way of expressing himself, the quiet moments interspersed with bursts of life, and the little things that made him who he was. A service to honor Alex's life will be held on September 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel Revival Mission, located at 10 Regent Street. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Alex touched are invited to celebrate his life and share in the love he spread so freely. In memory of Alex, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or a memorial fund established in his name.
