In Loving Memory

Alex Blake
April 2, 2005 — June 28, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Alex Blake, a cherished son, devoted partner, and beloved friend, who departed this world on June 28, 2026. Born in Catoosa County, Georgia, on April 2, 2005, Alex's life, though brief, was filled with love, laughter, and a spirited pursuit of his dreams.
Alex was a beacon of joy and positivity, always ready to lend a hand and brighten any room with his cheerful demeanor. He was the kind of person who would selflessly take off his shoes to ensure that those around him were comfortable, a testament to his deeply caring nature. His unwavering kindness and infectious smile left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Raised in a bustling family, Alex was the beloved son of Alex Blake Braswell Sr. and Donna Francis. He shared his life with six brothers—Kareem Jr., Chance, Gabriel, Solomon, Johnathan Jr., and Arrington—and four sisters—Meaghan, Bryliegh, Olivia, and Mavis Ann. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he loved them dearly.
Alex was a proud graduate of Rhea County High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Sandra Fernando. Together since their freshman year, Alex and Sandra's love story was a testament to enduring young love that blossomed into a profound partnership that touched all who knew them.
Known for his passion for racing cars, Alex found joy and exhilaration in the thrill of speed. He worked as a part-time manager at Circle K, where his leadership skills shone brightly. With dreams of entrepreneurship, Alex was in the early stages of starting his own clothing business, a venture that promised to be as vibrant and unique as he was.
A cherished member of The City Church of Chattanooga, Alex's faith was an integral part of his life, providing him with guidance and strength. The church community joins his family in mourning his loss, remembering him as a young man of immense promise and generosity.
Tragically, Alex's life was cut short following an accident after purchasing a motorcycle. He was struck by an officer's vehicle, which tragically led to his passing. His family earnestly hopes for justice and recognition of the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
He is survived by his loving family and his loyal dog, Crash. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Alex's life, respecting the family's wishes for privacy during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Alex's memory consider acts of kindness in their communities, echoing the warmth and generosity that he embodied throughout his life.
Though Alex's time with us was far too brief, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May we all strive to live with the same kindness, joy, and love that Alex so freely gave.
