In Loving Memory

Alesia D. Froese
June 5, 1966 — July 16, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alesia D. Froese, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully at her home on July 16, 2026. Alesia was born on June 5, 1966, in Viroqua, Wisconsin, to her loving parents, Terry and Dayle Whiting.
Alesia was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her warm smile and infectious laugh were the hallmarks of her bright and outgoing personality. She was a beacon of joy and a source of comfort to her family and friends, always ready to lend a listening ear or share a kind word.
A proud graduate of Westby High School's Class of 1984, Alesia dedicated her professional life to caring for others. She worked as a Psychiatric Care Technician at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center and was a devoted employee of the State of Wisconsin for many years, beginning her career on June 28, 1989. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her compassionate nature and her desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.
In her personal life, Alesia found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and spent countless hours tending to her cherished cats—Tink, Remi, Emmett, and Ella Bean. Family was the cornerstone of Alesia's world, and she delighted in hosting family events and creating memories with her loved ones. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandson, Cameron, whom she adored beyond measure.
Alesia leaves behind a loving family, including her parents, Terry and Dayle Whiting, sons, Keith Whiting and Colton Froese; her daughter, Kaitlyn (Zackery) Peterson; her son, Connor Froese; and her grandson, Cameron Froese. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Whiting, along with numerous friends and extended family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Alesia's life will be held on August 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Baraboo Civic Center, located at 124 2nd Street, Baraboo, WI 53913. Family and friends are invited to gather and share in honoring the remarkable life and legacy of this extraordinary woman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Alesia's memory to "Kitties on the Prairie," reflecting her deep love and care for animals.
Alesia D. Froese touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others.
