December 15, 1990 — June 1, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of Alec Bowman, who left this world too soon on June 1, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on December 15, 1990, in Contra Costa, California, Alec was a beacon of strength, kindness, and dedication to all who knew him.
Alec was a cherished son to Julia Bowman, whose nurturing spirit and unwavering support helped shape him into the remarkable man he became. He is also survived by his beloved brother, Samuel, who shared in Alec’s adventures, triumphs, and dreams. Their bond was a testament to the power of brotherhood and love.
Alec’s life was marked by his commitment to education and service. He graduated from Central Maine College with a degree in Biochemistry, a field he was deeply passionate about. His academic pursuits were a reflection of his relentless curiosity and desire to understand the world at a deeper level.
In 2010, Alec answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army. Over the course of a distinguished 16-year military career, he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Alec's leadership skills were evident in his roles as a Drill Sergeant, Instructor, and Master Fitness Instructor, among many others. His certifications as a Victim Advocate and EEO Representative highlighted his commitment to justice and equality, values he held dear throughout his life.
Alec's dedication to his fellow soldiers and his country was unmatched, and he was respected and admired by all who served alongside him. His ability to lead with empathy, strength, and integrity left an indelible mark on those he mentored and inspired.
Tragically, Alec's journey was cut short due to a motorcycle accident. Yet, even in his passing, the legacy he leaves behind is one of resilience, devotion, and love. Alec lived his life with a sense of adventure and an open heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement.
Though Alec did not have children of his own, his influence extended far beyond his immediate family. He touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and generosity.
As we say goodbye to Alec, we remember a life filled with purpose and passion. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will serve as a guiding light for all who strive to follow in his footsteps.
A celebration of Alec's life will be held at a later date, where family, friends, and fellow servicemen and women will gather to honor and remember the extraordinary life of this remarkable man.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Alec’s memory to organizations supporting veterans and military families, causes that Alec held close to his heart.
Alec Bowman will be missed beyond measure, but his legacy of service, love, and courage will continue to inspire for generations to come. May he rest in peace.
