In Loving Memory

Albertina Clemetina Bloomfield AKA (Ms. Olive)
November 7, 1945 — September 7, 2026
Albertina Clemetina Bloomfield, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on November 7, 1945, in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica, Albertina was the cherished daughter of Mr. Bloomfield and Ms. Dotilda Dinnall. Her life was one of love, laughter, and an unyielding spirit that touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Albertina was predeceased by her parents, her brother Patrick, her daughter Deasia Crossman, and her grandson Aldeen. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Gilbert (Dalbert) Watson Sr., her sister Lucille Thompson, her children Isacent, Una, Linval (known affectionately as Jimmy), Judith (Molly), and Elaine Crossman, as well as her 25 grandchildren, including Marsha, Nick, Malcome, Princess, Gary, Jodi, Ken, and Randy, and 21 great-grandchildren, among them Joanna and Ann. Her close friends, Ms. Murine and Shane, will also deeply miss her presence.
Albertina shared 20 beautiful years with her partner, Mr. Kiplin (Dadda) Crossman. Education was important to her; she attended Thompson Town High School and the Ebony Park Art School. Her career was diverse and fulfilling, spanning 30 years in housekeeping, 20 years as a cook, and time spent as a loving babysitter.
A woman of faith, Albertina was actively involved with the 4H Club and was a dedicated member of the Assemblies of the First Born Church International in Decoy. Her hobbies included cooking, traveling, and spending cherished moments at the beach. Albertina found great joy in attending church and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, whom she fondly called her "boyfriends" due to their handsome appearances and tall statures.
Known for her candid nature and infectious humor, Albertina's ability to speak her mind without a filter made her truly unforgettable. She loved surrounding herself with young people and was never one to let her age define her, often declaring, "Your mother is old, not me."
A celebration of Albertina's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Assemblies of the First-Born Church International in Decoy, Clarendon, Jamaica.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Porus Health Center and its staff, Pennant Funeral Home, and Friends in Ebony Park, Coffee Piece, Alabama and Victoria for their support and compassion during this time of bereavement.
