Alberta Lindsey Triplett

September 17, 1951 — March 21, 2026

Alberta Lindsey Triplett, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on September 17, 1951, in Greenwood, Mississippi, Alberta was the beloved daughter of Mrs. Nellie Mae Moore, who preceded her in death. Alberta was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Walter H. Triplett, and her beloved son, Levonne L. Triplett. Her grandson Willie Dixon. Alberta's life was a testament to her profound love for her family and community. She is survived by her loving son, Walter Triplett and his wife Stephanie of Greenwood, MS; son Willie Dixon of New Albany, MS; and her adopted children, Danielle Greer and her husband Terrell of Columbus, Ohio, Tiana Lindsey of Greenwood, MS, and Shawn Lindsey of Toledo, Ohio. She also leaves behind her bonus daughter, Angie Jones of New Albany, MS, her dear sister, Gloria Battle of Greenwood, MS, and her brother, Jessie Lindsey and his wife Alice of Little Rock, AR. Alberta's legacy is carried on by her cherished grandchildren: Raven Triplett, Layla Triplett, Shangerria Mc, Kiara Booker, Laprecha Bridges, Mya Givens, Karnisha Frazier, Aysia Walker, Walter Triplett, Jr., and Tydarius Dixon. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren who adored her and brought immense joy to her life. Her life was enriched by the deep bonds she shared with her close friends Mary Williams, Gloria J. Davis, and Minnie Anderson. Alberta was an active member of the New Green Grove Church of Faith, where she found solace and community in her faith. Alberta's passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She found joy in watching funny and action movies, cooking delightful meals, gardening, fishing, shooting pool, and dancing. These hobbies were not just pastimes, but expressions of her zest for life and her love for the beauty in everyday moments. Alberta often spoke of her greatest accomplishment: witnessing her sons grow up and build families of their own. Her greatest inspiration was her three sons and her grandchildren, who filled her life with purpose and joy. She imparted wisdom to her family, emphasizing the importance of sticking together, loving the Lord, and supporting one another. To her family, Alberta wished to be remembered as she was: a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and a healer to those who knew her as such. Her gentle spirit and warm smile left a lasting impact on everyone she met. A service to celebrate Alberta's life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the New Green Grove Church of Faith, located at 4053 Browning Rd Ext. In honor of Alberta's loving spirit, the family shares this special message: "To Those I Love: When I am gone, just release me, let me go so I can move into my afterglow..." Alberta Lindsey Triplett's journey on this earth has ended, but her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. As we grieve her passing, we celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
