Albert Joe Thibodeaux, a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on December 21, 1952, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Albert's journey through life was marked by love, service, and dedication to those around him. Albert was the cherished son of Albert Thibodeaux and Audrey Jessie Mae, who instilled in him values of hard work and compassion. From a young age, Albert exhibited a profound sense of duty and care that would shape his life's path. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he forged lifelong friendships and developed a deep appreciation for camaraderie and honor. Upon completing his military service, Albert embarked on a fulfilling career as an electrician with Entergy, where he dedicated many years of service before retiring. His colleagues remember him not only for his remarkable skill and unwavering work ethic but also for his infectious laughter and kind spirit that could light up even the darkest of days. Albert's heart, however, truly blossomed in the company of his family. He shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Paulie Thibodeaux, whose companionship and love were his greatest treasures. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Albert and Frenchella Thibodeaux, who were the pride and joy of his life. Albert's legacy of love and kindness continues through his cherished grandson, Jordan Thibodeaux, who brought immense happiness and light into his world. Albert's life was enriched by the bonds he shared with his siblings: Jackie Bowman, Debra Coleman, Darryll Thibodeaux, Brenda Thibodeaux, Alfred Thibodeaux, Alvin Thibodeaux, Gaynell Lofton, and Gary Thibodeaux. Their shared memories, laughter, and love built a foundation of support and strength that carried them through life's challenges. In addition to his immediate family, Albert was blessed with a vast network of nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Albert for his warmth and wisdom. He was preceded in death by his dear siblings Angela Thibodeaux and Dalton Thibodeaux, whose memories he cherished dearly. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at The Sanctuary at Passages Hospice, whose care and hospitality provided comfort during Albert's final days. Albert Joe Thibodeaux lived a life rooted in love, service, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched, and his spirit will forever be a guiding light for those who knew and loved him. A celebration of Albert's life will be held to honor his memory and the profound impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice, in tribute to Albert's generous and giving nature. Rest in peace, dear Albert. Your journey on this earth was a blessing to all who had the privilege of walking alongside you.
