It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Frank Roggow, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Albert departed this life peacefully on February 27, 2026, after a short illness, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and integrity that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on July 26, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan, Albert was the beloved son of Emil and Emma Roggow and stepfather Herbert H. Bell. Albert's life was a testament to service and hard work. Upon graduating from Saginaw High School, he answered the call of duty by joining the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor and pride. His time stationed in Okinawa, Japan, was a period he often recalled with fondness and pride, embodying the Marine Corps values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his life. After his honorable discharge, Albert returned to his roots in Saginaw and began a diverse career journey that showcased his entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic. From his early days at the Lufkin Rule Company to his ventures as a small business owner in Southern California, Albert's determination and resilience were evident. His passion for the restaurant industry, where he worked as a store manager for a major food service company, was a significant chapter in his career. Ultimately, he found joy in his work as a tool sharpener, serving local barber shops and hair salons with precision and care. Albert's love for baseball, particularly the Detroit Tigers, was a lifelong passion. His encyclopedic knowledge of the team, spanning decades, was a source of joy and conversation with family and friends. Beyond his sports enthusiasm, Albert was known for his quick wit, honesty, and unwavering dedication to his family. A devoted father and grandfather, his love knew no bounds, and he shared it generously with his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him. Albert is survived by his loving children: daughter Sharon (Michael) Gioquinto of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; son Terry (Jasmine) Roggow of Berlin, Germany; and daughter Tamara (Zac) Pearson of Burnsville, North Carolina. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, and Ryan Gioquinto, Joline Roggow, and Christopher Druggers, as well as his great-grandchildren, Hannah Gioquinto, Braylon Beverly, and Emma Rose Beverly. Albert's memory is also treasured by his sister Rosalie E. Roggow, brother Ronald (Dianne) Roggow, step-brother Gerald Bell, and several nieces and nephews. His loyal friend and work buddy, Jim Turner, will forever remember their camaraderie. Albert was predeceased by his parents, stepfather, step-sisters Alvina (Ernest) Kunitzer and Shirley (Gordon) Smith, baby sister Sharon Ann Bell, grandson Justin Roggow, and the mother of his children, Sandy. Albert Frank Roggow was a man of integrity and warmth, a steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved. His legacy is one of kindness, strength, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. As we say goodbye to Albert, we celebrate the remarkable journey of a man whose love and laughter touched so many lives. May he rest in eternal peace.
