In Loving Memory

Albert Eugene Kelley Jr
July 17, 1956 — June 3, 2026
It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Albert Eugene Kelley Jr., who departed this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on June 3, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 17, 1956, in Bakersfield, California, Albert lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion that touched all who knew him.
Albert was the cherished son of the late Juanita Faye Sandridge and Albert Eugene Kelley Sr. He joins his parents in eternal rest, along with his brothers Clifford Kelley and Mitchell Dean Kelley, baby brother Michael Dean Kelley, his beloved granddaughter Mia Faye, and many other siblings who predeceased him.
Albert is survived by his estranged wife, Gail Yvonne Hill, with whom he shared a marriage that began on January 16, 1979. Although separated for the past six years, their bond as the parents of two cherished daughters remained strong. His daughters, Diana Warren and her husband, Cordell "Corky" Chambers, and Gina Faye Kelley and her husband, Franklin "Frankie Baby" Edward Jones, carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. Albert was a beloved grandfather to five grandchildren: Adam, Brandon, Paris Jr., and Onyx, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, David Ray Kelley, and many more loving family members and dear friends.
Albert's career journey took him from the oil fields to the open roads as a rig driver, eventually finding his passion in maintenance, carpentry, and remodeling work. His hands built not only structures but also lasting friendships. A man of deep faith, Albert was a devoted Catholic whose love for the Lord was reflected in his daily life and his conversations.
A man of diverse interests, Albert found joy in tending to his roses and taking pride in his perfectly manicured yard. His grilling skills were legendary, especially his tri-tip, ribs, and steak, always accompanied by stories of his mother's unbeatable biscuits—a recipe that, to our regret, was never passed on. He was an aficionado of cars and trucks, and his love for racing was matched only by his playful spirit, especially when it came to racing against law enforcement.
Albert's radiant smile and infectious laugh could light up any room. His generous spirit was evident to all who met him—always ready with a helping hand or a bit of wisdom to share. His famous line, "Don't get me lying," was a testament to his honest, straightforward nature. He was a good man with a big heart, willing to offer the shirt off his back and his last dollar to those in need.
The memorial service to honor Albert’s life will be held at the Valley of Peace in Lancaster, California. This service will be a celebration of the love and joy he brought into our lives and the legacy he leaves behind.
In a special message from his family: "Dad, thank you for being an amazing father and hero to two little girls, our best friend, our first handhold, and our safe place. We love you very much. We miss you dearly and will carry your memory with us until we meet again. Love you more, Daddy."
Albert Eugene Kelley Jr. will be remembered as a man whose love knew no bounds, whose laughter brought warmth, and whose life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and faith.
