Mr. Albert Edward Terry, age 84, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Thursday morning, April 30, 2026, at his residence. Mr. Terry was born in Silver Creek, Georgia, on June 11, 1941, the son of the late Horace Terry and Irma Jones Terry. He spent the greater part of his life in Polk and Floyd Counties. For many years, he was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Mr. Terry was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles and raccoon hunting. In addition to his parents, Mr. Terry was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Terry and William Terry, sister, Joann Bowman, and step-grandson, Christopher Stringer. Mr. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Dale Terry, whom he married October 28, 1988; children, Eddie Terry (Peggy), Annette Hannah (Mark), Darlene Boatner, Glenn Terry (Debbie), stepdaughter Stacy Baker (Tony), and stepson Lee Stringer; grandchildren, Kyle Ashley (Cesilee), Jordan Ashley (Ashley Megan), Blake Terry (Holly), Josh Terry, Courtney Moss (Dakota), Caleb Boatner (Brittany), Kevin Boatner (Stephanie), and step-grandchildren Jonathan Guice, Jacob Baker (Emily), Jordan Whitton (Remick), Christy Stringer, Chasity Snyder, and Anna Davenport (Harrison), Christlyn Stringer, Anslee Stringer, Austin Loveless and Addison Loveless; great-grandchildren, Pierce Ashley, Ember Ashley, Elton (Scooter) Ashley, Evie Ashley, Jackson Ashley, Will Terry, Everly Terry, Ava Terry, Olivia (Livy)Terry, Carson Boatner, Kaiden Boatner, Kaine Boatner, Blakeley Moss, Christopher Moss, and step-great grandchildren Brylin Guice, Mikenah Guice, Zechariah Guice, Elijah Baker, Wylder Baker, Elaina Rose Stringer, Hudson Snyder, Jayce Varner, Elise Varner, Ryker Layn and Harrison Davenport, III; mother-in-law, Ellen Jordan. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Terry were held on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2026 in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Cabe and Rev. Billy Chambers officiating. Interment followed at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
