It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Davis, a man whose warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Albert departed this life on April 24, 2026, after his courageous battle with health issues, at the age of 68. Born on January 20, 1958, in the bustling borough of Brooklyn, New York, Albert lived a life characterized by love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Albert was the cherished son of the late Al and Geneva Davis and the beloved brother of the late James Davis. He is survived by a loving family who will forever honor his memory: his devoted partner, whose presence brought joy to his later years; his daughter, Angela Davis, and step-daughter, Pamela Grant, who were the light of his life; and his siblings, Rosemary Henry, Sharon Davis, Joyce Davis, and Denis Harvey (husband/Howard Harvey). Albert's legacy also lives on through a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who were touched by his kindness and humor. In his early years, Albert attended P.S. 81, JHS 57, and Boys and Girls High School, laying the foundation for a life rich in learning and curiosity. His career was as diverse as it was dedicated, taking him from the bustling halls of The Jacob Javits Center, through the mechanical workshops and home repair projects where his hands worked wonders, to his final role at Interfaith Hospital. There, Albert served diligently in the intake office until his retirement in 2025, always greeting colleagues and patients alike with his signature warm smile. Albert was more than his work; he was a man of many passions. He was an active member of the Masons, where he found camaraderie and a sense of purpose. His talents extended into the kitchen, where he delighted family and friends with his culinary creations, particularly his legendary potato salad and macaroni and cheese. Albert's love for cars was another of his joys, spending countless hours tinkering and sharing his knowledge with anyone eager to learn. Albert's humor and generosity were his hallmarks. Known for his ability to tell a joke that could light up the room, he made it his mission to bring laughter and joy to those around him. His kindness was a beacon, offering support and friendship to all who needed it. The family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of bereavement. Each act of kindness is a testament to the impact Albert had on those around him, and your thoughts and prayers are a source of comfort. Albert Davis will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
