His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Joey and Garrett McManus, Garrett and Logan Spear and Logan's wife Jessica, Brittany Shelton and her fiancé Allen, and Dakota Kuhn. After his military service, Albay dedicated his career to the lumber industry, working as a skilled woodsman. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by all who knew him. A man of strong faith, Albay was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery. He was also an enthusiastic member of various fishing clubs, where he shared his love of the sport with many friends. Albay's interests and hobbies were as diverse as they were passionate. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, with a particular fondness for deer, duck, and alligator hunting—his proudest moment being the capture of a 14-point buck. Albay was also an enthusiastic gardener and a skilled ball player, known for his role as a catcher. He treasured time spent with his family and friends, especially during the holidays, when his home was filled with warmth and laughter.
