A'laya Brenae Jackson

August 12, 2025 — June 29, 2026

A'laya Brenae Jackson, affectionately known as "Ms. Ronnie," was born on August 12, 2025, in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite the brevity of her stay with us, she filled every moment with laughter and joy. On June 29, 2026, cradled by the love of her family, A'laya was peacefully called home while she slept. Born a mere 1 pound, A'laya was a warrior from the very start. Her resilience and indomitable spirit inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Against all odds, she triumphed, bringing a ray of sunshine into the lives of her parents, A'Laysia Carter and Joseph Jackson, and her cherished brother and cousins. Her giggles were the music of her home, and her bright smile could light up the darkest of days. A'laya truly embodied everything one could ever wish for in life—an irreplaceable bundle of joy and love. A celebration of A'laya's precious life will be held on July 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Verrett's located at 1018 Parent Street. Family and friends will gather to honor the beautiful memories she left behind and the incredible impact she made in her short time with us. A special message from her father, Joseph, captures the profound bond they shared: "If tears could build a stairway to heaven, I'd walk right to you, my sweet girl. I didn't get the chance to say 'goodbye' or should I say, 'see you later.' I know it and God knows why my heart still aches in sadness as I remember our final days together. My only child, Daddy will see you on the other side. Thank you for loving me. I will never understand why you, but I cannot question God. Your daddy loved you, Fat Momma, and your family too. Can't wait to meet you on the other side. LOVE, DAD" In honor of A'laya's memory, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a charity of your choice, celebrating the light and love she brought into this world. Though A'laya's time with us was brief, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever be remembered, cherished, and loved.
