Alan was born on November 4, 1944, in the heart of Oklahoma City, a place that would remain dear to him throughout his life.
Alan was the beloved son of Lester and Judy Garner, who predeceased him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that Alan carried forward. He shared a life rich with love and laughter with his devoted wife, Opal Faye Garner, with whom he built a family that was the center of his world. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Larry Garner and Sue Garner, who blessed Alan with a lineage that includes six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Alan’s family was his pride and joy, and he relished every moment spent in their company, especially when he was surrounded by the laughter and play of his grandchildren.
Known for his wonderful spirit and infectious smile, Alan had a talent for bringing joy and light to those around him. His warm and kind-hearted nature endeared him to many, and his penchant for joking and having a good time made him a beloved figure in his community. His laughter and good humor were as much a part of him as the compassion and generosity he extended to others.
