Alan Mitchell Napolitano

April 17, 1946 — October 7, 2026

Alan Mitchell Napolitano, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2026, at Columbus State Hospital, after a valiant battle with diabetes and heart complications. Born on April 17th, 1946, in Belpre, Ohio, Alan was the cherished son of Alberto and Anne Napolitano. Growing up in the close-knit community of Belpre, Alan graduated from Belpre High School in 1964. Shortly thereafter, he embarked on a career as a factory supervisor at Depaul Factory, where he dedicated over 30 years of his life. Alan was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his team, qualities that earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. On August 7th, 1967, Alan married the love of his life, Lorraine Anne Napolitano. Together, they nurtured a loving family, raising three wonderful children: Alan Mitchell Napolitano Jr., Beth Anne Swartz, and Zelisha Napolitano. Their family continued to grow with the addition of four grandchildren—Annette Napolitano, Todd Joseph Napolitano, Chalia Atkinson, and Malia Napolitano—and two great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to Alan's later years. Alan had a zest for life that was evident both on and off the golf course. An avid golfer and hunter in his prime, he later found joy in watching sports on television and spending precious time with his grandchildren. Known for his quick wit and playfully tough exterior, Alan's heart was filled with love and protection for those he cherished. His fierce loyalty was a testament to his deep commitment to family and friends. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him, but his legacy of love, strength, and humor will live on through his family and those he touched throughout his life. A memorial service to honor Alan’s life will be held on October 10th, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church, located at 873 Farson Street, Belpre, Ohio 45714. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who was dearly loved. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Alan's memory to the American Heart Association, a cause close to his heart. Alan Mitchell Napolitano will be remembered for the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the legacy he leaves behind. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
