It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Aiola Hollis, who departed this world on May 8, 2026, after a courageous battle fought with grace and strength. Born on August 13, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia, Aiola was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. From a young age, Aiola exhibited an extraordinary zest for life. She was the cherished daughter of Jackie and Mark Hollis, who nurtured her inquisitive mind and loving spirit. Aiola was also the adored sister of Kenyatta and Miracle Hollis, with whom she shared a bond that was unbreakable and filled with laughter and love. The Hollis family, including a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, was a close-knit support system that celebrated each other's triumphs and comforted one another in times of sorrow. Aiola's academic journey began at Towers High School in Decatur, Georgia, where she graduated with honors, her intellect matched only by her kindness. Her passion for problem-solving and innovation led her to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Georgia State University. With her degree in hand, Aiola embarked on a career as a Mechanical Engineer with Kia, where she worked diligently and passionately for several years. Her colleagues admired her for her dedication, skill, and that remarkable smile that could light up even the most stressful of meetings. Aiola was known for her infectious smile—a smile that could set the mood for any room and uplift the spirits of those around her. Her presence was a gift, and her ability to find joy and share it with others was one of her most endearing qualities. She approached life with an open heart and a generous spirit, always willing to lend a hand or an ear to those in need. Though Aiola's journey was cut short, her impact on those she leaves behind is immeasurable. She was a source of inspiration, showing all of us how to live life with courage and compassion. Aiola is survived by her loving parents, Jackie and Mark Hollis, and her dear siblings, Kenyatta and Miracle, who will continue to honor her memory and carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. A celebration of Aiola’s life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Dawn Memorial, located at 4685 Glenwood Rd, Decatur, Georgia 30058. The service will be a time for family and friends to come together, to remember the joy Aiola brought to our lives, and to find solace in the shared memories of her remarkable journey. As we say goodbye to Aiola, let us hold her memory close, cherishing the times we shared and finding comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will forever be a part of us. Rest in peace, dear Aiola. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
