With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aimee Faith McLane, who left this world on July 15, 2026, at the tender age of 15 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Aimee was a beacon of light and an inspiration to all who were fortunate to know her.
Aimee's journey was marked by her remarkable intelligence and passion for learning. She attended Plymouth High School in Ohio and had already completed her sophomore year, a testament to her dedication and perseverance. At just 12 years old, Aimee's brilliance allowed her to attend junior college, setting her apart as a truly exceptional student.
Her personality was as vibrant as it was endearing. Aimee was known for her sassy, infectious, loving, and caring nature. A cheerleader at heart, she also delighted in making TikTok videos with her siblings, capturing the joyous moments of life. Her extroverted spirit made her a natural friend to many, as she embraced new friendships with open arms.
Aimee had a fearless voice and was never afraid to stand up for herself and others, a quality that resonated deeply with those around her. She was a "big kid" at heart, cherishing simple joys like her favorite cartoon, Bluey. Even amidst her battle with leukemia, Aimee exhibited immense strength and persistence, embodying the faith her name carried.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, having deeply touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her story and spirit will continue to have a profound impact on those who knew her, and her absence will be felt by all who loved her.
Aimee is survived by her loving parents, Tanisha Lee and Edward McLane; her cherished twin, Ta'Ziyah, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond; her sisters, Eniyah, Aunesty, and Serenity; her brothers, Edward and Justice; and her five god-siblings, JaLescia, JahCyana, Jariuh, Knowledge, and JaSohn. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Aimee McLane, her great-grandmother, Helen McLane, her godmother, Brittany Keller, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her beloved maternal grandmother, Patricia (Patti) Lee, and her brother, William McLane.
Aimee's life will be celebrated on July 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the LE Black Phillips Golden Funeral Home, located at 1951 McGuffy Rd, Youngstown, Ohio. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and remember the joyous spirit that was Aimee.
