June 4, 1987 — July 13, 2026
Ahmad TuShaun Boneparte, beloved father, brother, son, and friend, passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on June 4, 1987, in Orangeburg County, Ahmad was the cherished son of the late Delores (Jones) Boneparte and the late Wilbert Boneparte Jr. Though his parents have gone before him, Ahmad's legacy continues to shine brightly through his family, friends, and community.
Ahmad was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church from the age of 5 until relocating.
Ahmad's journey began in the nurturing surroundings of Orangeburg County, where he attended the public schools of Orangeburg School District 5. He graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson, armed with a determination to make a difference. For 16 years, he dedicated himself to serving the City of Orangeburg before relocating to Spartanburg, SC, where he worked with VLS Solutions. His unwavering work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities were evident until his health took a toll. Undeterred, Ahmad later returned to the workforce as a Security Guard with A. Sharp.
A man of many passions, Ahmad's love for basketball was unparalleled. Not only was he an outstanding player, but he also gave back to his community by coaching numerous youths throughout the Orangeburg area. His influence extended far beyond the basketball court, as he became a mentor and a beacon of positivity for young athletes aspiring to follow in his footsteps.
Ahmad's quick wit and warm smile were his trademarks, and he had an uncanny ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him. His kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on the lives he touched, and the stories of his selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Ahmad is survived by his devoted sister, Mrs. Angela Boneparte Rumph of Orangeburg, SC; his brothers, Wilbert Boneparte III of Atlanta, GA, and Akeem Boneparte of Orangeburg, SC; his loving brother-in-law, David Rumph; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. Boneparte; and his two beautiful children, who were the light of his life. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many cherished friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
A service to celebrate Ahmad's life will be held on July 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John Baptist Church, located at 262 Saint John Road, Cameron, SC 29030. The family invites all who were touched by Ahmad's life to join in honoring his memory and legacy.
