Ahmad was the beloved son of Sharon T. King and the late Lester T. Hopkins. His education continued at the Job Corps of Maryland, where he developed skills that would later support his dedicated career in the maintenance department at BWI, a role he embraced with unwavering commitment and pride for many years.
In his personal life, Ahmad found immense joy and companionship with his wife, Brannie Reid. Their union was a testament to love's enduring power, and together they built a life filled with laughter, music, and shared dreams. Ahmad's world was further enriched by his adoring family, including his mother Sharon, and his siblings Mia, Leslie, Latisha, Lester Jr., Latoya, and Heather. 11 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. The Hopkins/King family was a source of constant support and love, a circle that remained unbroken even in times of sorrow.
Music, particularly hip hop, was Ahmad's soul's delight. Whether he was listening to his cherished CDs or spending time in the studio recording with his brother and nephew, music was his refuge and expression. It was through these melodies that Ahmad communicated his innermost thoughts and dreams, leaving an indelible mark on those who shared these moments with him.
Ahmad was a man of few words, yet his warm smile spoke volumes. He approached life with a childlike wonder, often expressing his gratitude with a heartfelt "wooooow" whenever he was touched by an act of kindness. A celebration of Ahmad's life will take place on March 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Joseph H. Brown Funeral Home, located at 2140 Fulton Ave. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Ahmad's life are invited to join in honoring his memory and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
