Agnes Marie Williams

October 15, 1945 — April 29, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Agnes Marie Williams, who departed this world peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 15, 1945, in Houston, Texas, Agnes was a beacon of love and compassion, whose life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to family, faith, and service. Agnes was the cherished daughter of the late Lawrence James Mallery, Sr. and Ola Mae Mallery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lawrence J. Mallery, Jr., her uncle John Mallery, and her aunt Rita Mallery. Though their absence was deeply felt, Agnes carried their memories and teachings forward in her life. A proud graduate of Evan Worthing High School and the Hermann Hospital School of Vocational Nursing, Agnes dedicated over three decades of her life to the field of nursing, serving as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her gentle touch and compassionate care left an indelible mark on the countless patients and families she served, embodying her belief in healing and hope. In 1965, Agnes was united in Holy Matrimony with Leslie Lee Williams, with whom she shared a loving partnership. Together, they were blessed with two sons, Andre' and Marcus. In a later chapter of her life, she welcomed another son, Dwight, from a loving relationship that further enriched her family. Agnes was a devoted mother, grandmother to seven adoring grandchildren, and great-grandmother to two precious great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Agnes found joy in simple pleasures, being an avid watcher of television crime shows and an enthusiastic traveler. Her love for exploring new places was matched only by her passion for spending time with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. As an active member of the Legion of Mary and the Knights of Peter Claver (KPC), Agnes lived her faith through service, embodying the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. Agnes leaves behind her beloved children, Andre' (Yolanda), Marcus, and Dwight; her dear siblings, Eugene Mallery and Janet Hunter; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will continue to celebrate her legacy of love and kindness. A service in celebration of Agnes's life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, located at 4600 Reed Rd. We invite all who knew and loved Agnes to join us in honoring her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Agnes's memory to Easter Seals, Shriners Children, or St. Jude Children's Research, organizations close to her heart. The family of Agnes Williams wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their acts of kindness during this time of sorrow. Your prayers, visits, and words of encouragement have been a source of comfort to us all. May God bless each of you. As we bid farewell to our beloved Agnes, we do so with profound gratitude for the love she shared and the lives she touched. Her spirit will forever remain with us, a gentle reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived.
