With heavy hearts but profound gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of Agnes Ilene Hall (Tierney), who departed this world on June 28, 2026, at the age of 91. Agnes was born on November 3, 1934, in the charming town of Lincoln, Illinois, to her loving parents, Steve and Mary Tierney. She was a beacon of warmth, love, and grace throughout her long and fulfilling life. Agnes was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dick Hall, with whom she shared an incredible journey of love and partnership for 50 years. They married on April 4, 1959, and together they built a beautiful family and a life filled with cherished memories. Agnes is also predeceased by her parents and her dear sister, Mary Catherine Elliott. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness through her surviving family members, including her devoted daughters, Karen (Scot) and Lori (Jon). Agnes was a proud and doting grandmother to her three grandchildren, Lauren, Blake (Katie), and Drew, and a cherished great-grandmother to Milani and Logan. Her loving sister, Margaret Ann, also survives her, and together with Agnes's family, they will continue to celebrate her life and carry forth her values. Agnes dedicated 40 years of her professional life to the State of Illinois, where she served in various roles within the Department of Agriculture. She was a valued employee, known for her work ethic and numerous successes. Agnes's career was marked by her dedication and her unwavering commitment to excellence, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Beyond her professional achievements, Agnes was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as reading and crocheting, and she cherished every moment spent with her family. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she always had a smile and warm greeting for everyone she encountered. Agnes was a great mother, a doting grandmother, and her generosity touched countless lives. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Cedarhurst for the care and comfort they provided during Agnes's stay there. In honor of Agnes's compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause close to her heart. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate Agnes's life. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on her family, friends, and community. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Agnes. You will be deeply missed, but your light will shine on in the lives of those you leave behind.
