With heavy hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of Agnes Hager, who peacefully departed this world on April 12, 2026, just two days shy of her 92nd birthday. Born on April 14, 1934, in Upper Marlboro, MD, Agnes lived a life abundant in love, grace, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Agnes was the loving wife of the late Robert Hager, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in love and unity, raising 13 wonderful children. Her home was always filled with the laughter and joy of her 35 cherished grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and nurtured with her gentle spirit.
Known for her remarkable culinary skills, Agnes found immense joy in cooking for her family, creating meals that brought everyone together around the table. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where love was the main ingredient and every dish carried a piece of her soul. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her children and grandchildren, filling every gathering with laughter, wisdom, and the warmth of her presence.
Agnes was a woman of deep faith, attending church every Sunday with her beloved granddaughters, Jasmine and Eashelle. Her unwavering relationship with God guided her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, family, and generosity. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Agnes Hager will be held on April 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, located at 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to join in this celebration of her life.
