Agatha Mary Morris

Agatha Morris, affectionately known as "Mary," was a beacon of love and strength in her family and community. Born on May 13, 1933, in Grenada, West Indies, she passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on August 29, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones. Mary was the cherished daughter of Hugh and Leline Thomas and was predeceased by her parents and beloved siblings Augustine (Pim) Thomas, Henry Thomas, James (Claney) Thomas, Peter (King) Thomas, Joseph Thomas, and Margaret (Yollande) John. She is survived by her loving siblings Lera, Laura, Sybil, Geraldine, and Wellington Thomas, who carry forward the family legacy. A devoted mother, Mary leaves behind her children: Bernadette (Bernice) Thomas, Howard Thomas, Margaret Augustine (Hayden) Morris, Theresa (Patsy) Morris, Uselyn Nurse, and Alister (Johnson) Morris. Her legacy of love extends to her grandchildren Naketa, Sean, Jamila, Ayana, Kamau, Nathifa, Ookojo, Alanna, Elyse, Anwar, Uhuru, Sifiya, Zedeeka, Emil, Shamika, Akilla, and Alister, as well as her 20 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren Ayesha and Jovan. Throughout her life, Mary was a woman of resilience and dedication. She worked as a Nursing Assistant, where she touched many lives with her compassion and care. Beyond her professional life, her heart was full when surrounded by her family. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching her favorite soap operas and cooking and baking for her family. Christmas was especially dear to her heart, as it was a time filled with love, laughter, and family. Mary's Grenadian roots were a source of pride for her, and she was known for her colorful colloquialisms and quick wit. Her vibrant personality left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered, and her family will continue to cherish her sayings and stories for generations to come. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Integrity Funeral Care, located at 3915 Decoma St Suite E, Houston, TX, 77092. In remembrance of Mary, the family wishes to express a special message: "At 93 years old, Mary leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, traditions, laughter, and love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into her family will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully, Granny. Your love will continue to live in your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in every family tradition you helped create.
