It is with heavy hearts, yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Agapito Aluag, a beloved husband, friend, and pillar of strength, on April 4, 2026. Agapito departed this world peacefully at his home, enveloped in the love and care of his family, after a courageous battle with illness. He was just days shy of his 81st birthday. Agapito was born on April 9, 1945, in the picturesque town of Sarat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to Santiago and Solera Aluag. From an early age, Agapito was imbued with the values of hard work, resilience, and the importance of family—principles he carried with him throughout his life. In 1990, Agapito's life took a joyous turn when he married the love of his life, Juanita Aluag, in a ceremony that marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Their enduring partnership of over three decades was a testament to their deep love and unwavering commitment to one another. Juanita survives him, cherishing the countless memories and the bond they shared. Agapito's professional life was marked by his dedication and strong work ethic. He found fulfillment in his work landscaping at Ewa Beach, where he transformed ordinary spaces into lush, vibrant havens, bringing joy and beauty to those around him. Even after retiring, Agapito continued to lend his expertise part-time, a testament to his passion and love for the craft. Outside of work, Agapito had a zest for life that was infectious. He found great joy in the simple pleasures—listening to the soothing melodies of Ilocano music on the radio, savoring his favorite dishes like ahi and kilawen, and embarking on adventures to Las Vegas, where he embraced the excitement and energy of the city. Agapito's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and resilience. His gentle spirit and warm smile were a comfort to all who knew him. He had an innate ability to make those around him feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible mark on every heart he touched. Though our hearts ache with his loss, we are comforted by the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to family. Agapito's life was a testament to the belief that true wealth is measured not by material possessions, but by the love and kindness shared with others. A celebration of Agapito's life will be held in the coming days, where friends and family will gather to remember and honor the extraordinary man he was. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him. Rest in peace, dear Agapito. You have fought the good fight, and now, may you find eternal rest in the embrace of the Almighty.
