Adrian J Schexnider Sr.
September 18, 1954 — June 5, 2026
The world has lost a remarkable soul, as Adrian J. Schexnider Sr. passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2026. Born on September 18, 1954, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Adrian lived a life rich in love, dedication, and quiet strength.
Adrian was the beloved son of Roy and Agatha Schexnider, who predeceased him, along with his sister Marinda Holmes and brother Bryan Schexnider. Though their loss was profound, Adrian carried their spirit and love throughout his life, sharing it generously with all who knew him.
On December 11, 1972, Adrian married the love of his life, Delores Lee Schexnider, in Alabama. Their union of over 54 years is a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and the joy of family.
Adrian's career as a pipe welder was more than just a profession; it was a passion. He took pride in his work, which was evident in his meticulous craftsmanship. Outside of work, Adrian found joy on his lil farm, raising Angus cattle, and strumming his guitar, a favorite pastime that brought him solace and joy.
A man of generosity and kindness, Adrian was always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors in need. His community respected him not just for his skills, but for his unwavering willingness to support others.
Adrian leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. His devoted wife, Delores, stands as the pillar of their family. He is survived by his sons, Jay (Laurie) Schexnider and Lorin (Monica) Schexnider, who carry forward his legacy of integrity and hard work. His brother, Roy (Samian) Schexnider, and sister, Judy Jones, hold dear the memories of their shared childhood.
Adrian's legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Jace (Ashley) Schexnider and Khristian Schexnider, and his four step-grandchildren, Davin, Destin, Holly, and Allie Rose. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by his kindness and wisdom.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Adrian's life and bid farewell at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana. As we gather to honor his memory, we remember Adrian not only for his love for his family and work but for the music he brought into our lives and the kindness he generously shared.
In remembering Adrian, let us strive to embody the qualities he cherished most: love for family, dedication to work, and a heart open to others. His spirit will forever be a guiding light to all who were blessed to know him.
