In Loving Memory

Adela Carrasco
May 22, 1963 — April 28, 2026
In loving memory of Adela Carrasco, who graced this world with her presence from May 22, 1963, to April 28, 2026. Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, CA, Adela was a beacon of light, love, and laughter for all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the cherished daughter of Fidela and the late Alfredo Carrasco, and a beloved sister to Sylvia, Carolina, Alfredo, and Angel.
Adela's academic journey was marked by remarkable achievements as she graduated from Stanford University and further pursued her passion for justice at Berkeley Law School. For 36 years, she dedicated her career to advocating for those who often went unheard. As an attorney, Adela gave voice to the voiceless and stood as a pillar of strength for underrepresented communities. Her commitment to animal safety was equally profound, and she tirelessly worked to ensure a safer world for all creatures.
Her professional life was a testament to her sharp attention to detail, ferocious dedication, and unwavering confidence. Adela's ability to speak up for others and herself was matched only by her kindness and the infectious beauty of her laughter. Those fortunate enough to be in her presence knew the warmth of her spirit, as she lit up every room and made everyone feel welcome and cherished.
Outside of her remarkable career, Adela was an avid world traveler. She embraced the challenges and joys of exploring new places, creating cherished memories with those she held dear. Her adventures were a reflection of her inquisitive nature and her love of life's beautiful tapestry.
Adela's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched. Her mother, Fidela, her sisters, Sylvia and Carolina, and her brothers, Alfredo and Angel, along with countless friends and colleagues, will forever remember her laughter, kindness, and unwavering courage.
A celebration of Adela's extraordinary life will be held on May 19, 2026, at the Darling and Fischer Garden Chapel, located at 471 E. Santa Clara St., San Jose, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Habitat For Humanity, an organization close to Adela's heart. Contributions can be made at Habitat For Humanity Donation Page.
As we honor Adela's life, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, advocacy, and joy. May her memory inspire us to speak up, reach out, and make the world a better place, just as she did throughout her remarkable journey.
