Adam Joshua Walker
June 27, 1979 — March 16, 2026
Adam Joshua Walker, a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 46. Born on June 27, 1979, in Torrance, California, Adam was a vibrant spirit whose life was deeply intertwined with the beautiful beaches of the South Bay.
Adam was raised in a loving home by his mother, Pamela Lee Harris, and his father, the late Albert Joshua Walker, Jr., alongside his brother, Aaron Walker. From a young age, Adam's heart was captured by the ocean, a love affair that began on the sunny shores of Manhattan Beach, where he attended Grandview Elementary. His education continued at Jefferson Elementary in Redondo Beach, followed by Parras Middle School, and culminated in his graduation from Redondo Union High School in 1998.
Adam's career was as varied as his interests. He worked in many roles, primarily within the trades and construction industry, but his true passion lay in coaching volleyball. His natural ability to connect with children made him a beloved coach, instilling in them not just the skills of the game, but a love for the sport and the ocean. His time as a Jr. Lifeguard only deepened his bond with the beach, and he remained a well-known figure on the sandy courts of Hermosa Beach.
Adam's life was a testament to his love for the ocean and the vibrant community that surrounded it. He was an active participant in beach volleyball and could often be found boating, swimming, or roller skating along the coast. His warm smile and friendly nature were his trademarks, allowing him to form bonds with countless friends across different circles. Adam was a true charmer with an infectious enthusiasm for life, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Though his life was touched by the sorrow of losing his beloved daughter, Lexi, and his father, Albert Joshua, Adam's spirit remained undimmed. He is survived by his devoted mother, Pamela Harris, his treasured daughter Sadie Walker, and his brother Aaron Walker and his family. Adam also leaves behind numerous friends who will forever remember his kindness and joy.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the 8th Street Volleyball Courts on 8th Street Beach in Hermosa Beach. This gathering will be a tribute to a man who lived his life with passion and love, surrounded by the ocean and the community he cherished.
Adam Joshua Walker's legacy is one of joy, kindness, and an enduring love for the sea. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the waves and the winds of the beach he called home.
