It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adam J. Tietze, who left this world unexpectedly on April 10, 2026, at his home. Born on November 16, 1976, in Feeding Hills, MA, Adam was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. His sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Adam was the cherished son of Roland and Pamela (Rousseau) Tietze, who nurtured his passions and supported him in all his endeavors. He grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, a setting that shaped Adam into the caring and generous soul he was. He is survived by his devoted parents; his sister Laurie Clarke and her husband Monte Frank of Suffield, CT; and his brother Justin Tietze and his wife Sarah of Westfield, MA. Adam was also the proud and loving uncle to Abigale Tietze, Caroline, Evan, and Lucas Clarke, who brought immense joy to his life.
Adam's extended family, including his aunts and uncles, Amy Radzicki (Mark), Lynn Wilson, Erwin Tietze, and Doris Zaluck, along with numerous cousins, will forever hold his memory close. His circle of friends, who became family over the years, will miss his presence dearly. Adam's loyal companions, his beloved dogs Mo and Stu, were his constant sidekicks, providing him with companionship and unconditional love.
A proud graduate of Agawam High School, Adam went on to refine his culinary skills at the Connecticut Culinary Institute. Cooking was more than a profession for Adam; it was his love language, a way to connect with those around him. His career was spent bringing joy to countless patrons through his delectable dishes at local favorites including East Side Grill, Center Square Grill, Delaney House, and Lidos. Adam's passion for food was matched only by his love for sharing it with others, and his kitchen was always a place of warmth and generosity.
An enthusiastic lover of nature, Adam found solace in the simple joys of life. He could often be found fishing by the water's edge, watching and feeding birds, or tending to his flourishing vegetable garden. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed the meticulous craft of building model planes and helicopters, a pastime that reflected his patience and creativity. A true sports enthusiast, Adam was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and San Francisco 49ers, and he rarely missed a game, cheering them on with unwavering support.
Adam's life will be celebrated on April 16, 2026, at Colonial Forastiere, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, as a man who lived with kindness, cared deeply for others, and shared his passions with an open heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Adam's memory to a charity of one's choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and love for his community.
Adam J. Tietze's time with us was far too short, but his impact was immense. As we bid farewell, we hold onto the memories, laughter, and love that he shared with us, forever grateful for the time we had with such a remarkable man.
