With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we announce the passing of Adam Abbas, a beloved husband, father, and cherished friend, who left this world on March 3, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on July 12, 1957, in the vibrant city of Accra, Ghana, Adam's journey was marked by resilience, love, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear. Adam was the treasured son of the late Fatuma Sanni and Adamu Abbas, and he shared his early years with his siblings, the late Ali and Sara. Though they have gone before him, their spirits undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the next chapter. His life’s adventure brought him to Newark, New Jersey, where he built a respected career as a gifted mechanic. For over three decades, Adam was the go-to person for anyone in need of automotive expertise. A proud graduate of Lincoln Tech Mechanical School, Class of 2000, he possessed an inherent ability to breathe life into any vehicle, which earned him the trust and admiration of his community. His passion for fast cars wasn't just a career; it was his art, and every car he touched was a masterpiece in motion. A man of many passions, Adam found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, exploring new destinations, or simply grilling in the backyard, he embraced each moment with enthusiasm and joy. His love for building and working on cars was matched only by his love for sharing laughter, often cracking jokes and dancing his way into the hearts of everyone he met. Adam leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his dedicated wife, Theresa Ferris-Abbas, his beloved daughter Hawawu Abbas, and his cherished stepdaughters Athena and Willow Ferris. His presence will be deeply missed by his seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life, and his loyal canine companion, Stitch, who never left his side. Join us in celebrating Adam's life and legacy on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Campbell and Sons Funeral Home, located at 2520 Bonaventure Rd, Savannah, GA 31404. Here, we will gather to honor a man who lived life fully and loved deeply. The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Adam throughout his life and especially during his final battle. Your love and appreciation meant the world to him and to us. Adam spent his life taking care of others, and we are profoundly grateful for the community that surrounded him with love when he needed it most. In remembering Adam Abbas, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts.
