Ada Frost, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home on July 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 18, 1933, in Union Grove, Texas, Ada was the daughter of Roy and Pearl Moyers.
Growing up in a close-knit family, Ada experienced the joys of childhood alongside her brother Bobby. She met Morris Frost while attending East Texas Baptist College and they married on October 31, 1952. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years.
Ada devoted her early years to nurturing her family as a stay-at-home mom to her three cherished children, Debbie Christenson (Max) of Odessa, TX, Tim Frost (Robin) of Van Alstyne, TX, and Laura Rickman of White Oak, TX. Her dedication to her family was evident in all that she did, providing them with a strong foundation of love and faith.
In 1978, Ada embraced a new chapter by returning to college to earn her teaching degree. Her passion for education led her to teach within the Dallas Independent School District for 12 fulfilling years. Ada took immense pride in her role as a teacher, impacting countless young minds with her kindness, patience, and encouragement.
Upon retirement, Ada and Morris embarked on numerous adventures, traveling the world and creating cherished memories. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, Ada's enthusiasm for the team was unmatched. She and Morris held season tickets for many years and were thrilled to attend two Super Bowls, a testament to their shared love for the game.
Deeply rooted in her faith, Ada was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Allen, TX, where she found joy and fellowship for many years. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, offering comfort and strength to her and those around her.
Ada is survived by her children, her seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire them all. She is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Morris, her brother Bobby Moyers, and her son-in-law Tommy Rickman.
A service to celebrate the extraordinary life of Ada Frost will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the remarkable impact she had on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ada's memory to Wreaths Across America, an organization that held a special place in her heart.
Ada Frost's life was a testament to love, dedication, and faith. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed, but her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her.
