February 18, 1958 — May 5, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aaron Lamar Wright, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Aaron departed this world on May 5, 2026, at the age of 68, after a courageous and long battle with lung cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will continue to inspire those who knew him. Born on February 18, 1958, in Benton, Kentucky, Aaron was the cherished son of Mary Ann and Charles Wright. He was welcomed into a family that included his sister, Clem, who predeceased him. Aaron grew up enveloped by the warmth of family values and strong community ties, which he carried with him throughout his life. Aaron was a proud graduate of Marshall County High School, class of 1972, where he fostered a love for learning and an appreciation for the arts. His passion for painting was a lifelong pursuit, offering him a medium to express his gentle spirit and creativity. Those who were fortunate enough to view his works were often struck by the depth of emotion and beauty captured on each canvas. In 1979, Aaron married the love of his life, Barbara, embarking on a journey of 47 years filled with unwavering devotion and companionship. Together, they built a family rooted in love and respect, raising four wonderful children: Rose Keith, Adam Wright, Sissy McCain, and Cody Wright. Aaron's pride in his family was evident to all, especially when he spoke of his six grandchildren—Audrey, Felica, and CJ Keith; Dakota McCain; Brooklyn Grayson; and Katie Wright—and his three great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Aaron found solace and joy in the outdoors, often accompanied by his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and laughter. His gentle spirit and quiet strength were constants, providing comfort and wisdom to those around him. Aaron had an uncanny ability to lift spirits with a well-timed joke or to ignite imaginations by sharing one of his favorite books during a chat. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, full of cherished memories and love. In accordance with Aaron's wishes, he will be cremated. A private gathering will be held with his closest family members as they honor his memory. A memorial gathering to celebrate Aaron's life will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the family home, located at 4662 Parker Loop Rd, Birchwood, TN 37308. Friends and family are invited to join in commemorating Aaron's life, sharing stories, and remembering the incredible person he was. The family requests continued prayers, love, and privacy during this difficult time as they gather to honor and remember Aaron’s life. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him.
