In Loving Memory

A dad to a daughter
August 4, 2000 — March 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of William Nelson, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at home on March 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with mental health illness. William was born on August 4, 2000, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to his loving parents, Misty Bailey and Darrell Bailey. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished most in his life.
William's journey through life was marked by his boundless passion for music and storytelling, which he skillfully wove into the fabric of his daily existence. A proud graduate of Branson High School in 2019, William sought to serve his country by enlisting in the military at the age of 19. Though his path took an unexpected turn due to his mental health challenges, he remained undeterred, channeling his energy into supporting his beloved daughter, Clover Lynn Nelson, through hard work and determination.
As a committed provider, William juggled two jobs to ensure that he and his daughter were well cared for, all the while nurturing his dream of studying archaeology and agriculture in his mid-twenties. His passion for learning was matched only by his dedication to helping others, evidenced by his active membership at Real Life Church in Hollister, Missouri. Here, William found solace and purpose in mentoring and sponsoring individuals on their paths to recovery, offering them hope and inspiration through his own experiences.
William's infectious quick wit and warm smile were the trademarks of a man who had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generous spirit touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Never one to miss a day of work, William found joy in building a garden, creating music in the studio, and sharing stories of his life with those around him.
Preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, John Blizzard and Laura Blizzard, William is survived by a devoted family that includes his daughter, Clover Lynn Nelson; his brother, Cody Howard; his sisters, Kaitlyn Howard and Savanna Blizzard; and his parents, Misty and Darrell Bailey. Each of them holds dear the precious memories they shared with William and will carry his spirit with them always.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Memorial Hospital for their unwavering support and care during William's final days. Their kindness will forever be remembered.
In honoring William's life, we are reminded of the power of love, the strength found in vulnerability, and the beauty of a life lived with purpose and passion. Though he is no longer with us, William will forever remain in our hearts, his laughter echoing in our memories and his spirit guiding us as we continue to support one another.
Rest in peace, dear William. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on through the lives you touched. You are forever in our hearts.
