A Chi "Judy" Chen Lung

A Chi "Judy" Chen Lung, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on February 8, 1934, in Yilan, Taiwan, Judy's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and community. Judy was a woman of great faith, whose love for God and Jesus was evident in every aspect of her life. Her compassion and kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Judy was a devoted partner, first to William Howe Lung and later to Joseph Soto Rivera, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Shuao Li "Sandy" (John Jr) Lung-Figueroa and Anthony "Tony" Lung. Her grandchildren, Marcus (Elizabeth) Oyadomari II, William Oyadomari, Philip Lung, and Kyle Lung, will forever hold in their hearts the warmth and wisdom she imparted. Her great-grandchildren, Damien EP Lung, Nainoa Matthew Hangca, Faith M Hangca, and Cassidy-Cheyne Lung, were her pride and joy, and she was always so proud of them. Judy's extended and Hanai family held a special place in her heart, and she is fondly remembered by her loving niece, Sally (Delmonte) Christensen of Minot, N Dakota, as well as John Cadavona, Kenny Harada, and Lin (Ilka) Hong. Although she never learned to read or write, she became an entrepreneur of a successful business called "Judy's Place," where her children helped her run the business. Her establishment was more than just a business; it was a gathering place where friends became family and strangers became friends. Judy's life was a celebration of love and community. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her unwavering faith, and her genuine love for everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew her.
